The 66. Annual Meeting of the Austrian Physical Society (ÖPG) took place in Vienna (Austria) from September 27th to 29th at the University of Vienna. Nassar Doudin, Michael Hollerer and Sascha Pomp contributed with three talks and a poster präsentation and thus took the chance of presenting the results of our research to an international audience. The talks were about „WO3 Monolayer on Pd(100): formation of anti-phase domain boundary defects”, „Charge transfer to organic molecules on ultrathin insulating films”, „Adsorption and stability of Catechol on Iron Oxide Thin Films: A comparing UHV-liquid study” and the poster was about „Two-Dimensional Iron Tungstate Honeycomb Layers on Pt(111)”. Similarly, Martin Sterrer as the chair of the division of „Surfaces, Interfaces and Thin Films“ of the ÖPG, Falko Netzer and Michael Ramsey actively attended the annual meeting. The conference was well-visited and was characterized by an entirely high level of contributions, which was represented by interesting discussions leading to lively transfer of knowledge and ideas.
Thanks to our colleagues from Vienna for their hospitality!
